Irregular cycles are common. They're not normal.
Do your cycles basically just show up whenever they feel like it? Thriving Fertility is six months of 1:1 care to get them regular, so getting pregnant gets to happen with ease, now or in the next few years.
It all starts with a free hour call.
It might have started after coming off the pill, or it might have been this way for as long as you can remember, and maybe somewhere along the way someone suggested you have PCOS (or PMOS, its fancy-new-and-thankfully-more-accurate name).
And in the back of your mind is a quiet but growing question about how getting pregnant is actually going to go for you... because getting pregnant depends on your cycle, and you want a healthy cycle for a healthy pregnancy.
Or, you've already started trying, and it's just not going how you hoped and that baby you long for is not in your arms yet.
The usual answers from your doctor (and the internet) haven't helped that much. Go back on the pill. Come back once you've been trying for a year. Have you thought about IVF? Here, take some prenatals.
And because we want our babies so much, now or someday, we start trying everything we can find: the inositol, the seed cycling, cutting out sugar, tracking every cycle in an app. And after all of it, our cycles are still long and unpredictable.
I've been working with women in this exact place for years, and I've been here myself. Here's the big piece I think you've been missing.
An irregular cycle is, at its core, a timing problem. Something that's supposed to happen on a regular schedule (ovulation!) isn't happening when it's supposed to.
And it just so happens that we have a system whose main job is to keep time for everything in our bodies: our circadian rhythm. It tells every hormone when to rise and when to fall, and it gets its own sense of time from the light around us.
The problem is, our light has changed dramatically in the last fifteen years. Our days are spent inside, where it's too dim to register as day, and our nights are spent under LEDs and screens that scream daytime long after the day is over. Which means our circadian rhythms are basically living in a fun house, where nights look like noon and days don't look like any time at all.
Then add in the blood sugar issues, inflammation and stress that are allllll too common in our world. Every one of them runs off our circadian rhythm too, so fun house timing makes every one of them worse, and every one of them makes it harder to ovulate.
On top of that, if you've been on hormonal birth control, it switches off the cycle's own timing completely, sometimes for years. So when we come off it, our bodies are trying to find that timing again, with a timing system that's still stuck in fun house timing.
And THEN, at the very center of all of it: the literal signal to ovulate at all is timed by our circadian rhythm. When that rhythm is lost in the fun house, ovulation comes late, or not at all. Put it all together, and this is how a cycle that's a little long can slowly turn into PCOS/PMOS.
This is why we can do all the 'right' things to regulate our cycles, but if we haven't addressed the circadian rhythm, we still might not get back the regular, healthy cycles that conception needs.
Once your daily rhythm is back on time, your hormones start rising and falling on schedule again, and all the circadian chaos lifts. Then we can see clearly what's actually still going on in your body, like blood sugar, inflammation, stress, toxins or gut health, and give exactly those pieces the extra support they need. This is when the targeted supplements, herbs and lifestyle support finally work, and it all gets to be SO much simpler.
Your body WANTS to ovulate. It just needs its timing back, and enough support to feel safe and good enough to. This is what we give it, together.

I'm Jessa Rose L.Ac. FAE, a holistic women's health practitioner specializing in PCOS/PMOS, irregular cycles and coming off birth control. Technically, I'm an acupuncturist, biochemist and fertility awareness educator, plus a full-on circadian nerd. And I've spent the last seven years in my practice working with women in exactly this place.
This work is my own story, too. After years on hormonal birth control, I had post-pill PCOS/PMOS and long, irregular cycles of my own. I was doing so much to regulate them, and they were still up to 35 days. Circadian work is what finally made them regular: a very predictable 29 days, with no major symptoms. And I'm solidly in the babies-soon camp myself, so I know exactly how much is riding on this.
This is your entire case, looked at by someone who really cares about knowing you: who you are, and your life as it actually is. We start with the foundation: your daily rhythm, and the light in your home. Then we build your plan on top of it, super simple but targeted: the nourishment, testing, herbs and supplements that fit YOU, without taking away the pleasure and joy of existence.
And your plan changes as your body responds, month by month.
We look at your charts and how you're feeling, adjust what we need to, and you get an updated written plan.
Your cycle health and fertility bestie in your pocket. Text and voice messages with me between our calls, for the questions and the wins and the "is this normal??" moments.
From cycles that finally show up on time to babies in their arms, here's what this work has looked like for the women I've worked with over the last seven years.
I have suffered with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and PMDD for over 23 years of my life. My last laparoscopy revealed my tubes were completely blocked. My Mayo clinic doctor told me there was nothing Western medicine or surgery could do for this.
My periods are a better flow with cramping at about a 3 on the pain scale where it was an 11 out of 10, and I am more aware of my cycle. I decided to try for a baby despite the clogged tubes. Within a few months, to my utter shock, my body responded and I was able to conceive at 37 years old.
Jessa has never been judgemental, only encouraging and educational. You've changed my life for the better and I'm crediting you to everyone who we are telling today!

I sought out her services because I was having hormonal issues, awful painful irregular menstrual cycles and a difficult time conceiving. My cycles became more regular going from an average of 47 days apart to a normal 29 days cycle! She really understands what I was going through and how to help me in a way that wasn't too overwhelming.

After experiencing amenorrhea and PCOS for 7 years... I am so relieved to have regular moon cycles once again and to be reconnected to this essential piece of myself!

I have had healthy, routine cycles shortly after having my hormonal IUD removed.

Got my period exactly on time this month after skipping months at a time!!!

No. Irregular cycles are enough, with or without a diagnosis, whether you're trying now or hoping to in the next few years.
I usually recommend taking a break from trying, because we want healthy, regular cycles first. And if you get pregnant along the way, that's fantastic! Nothing stops. We keep going together through the rest of your six months, as early pregnancy support.
Your supplements and herbs, and your lab fees. Testing is chosen for your case: I order your bloodwork and any functional tests you need through Fullscript, and my interpretation is included. Lab fees are paid to the lab, and insurance doesn't cover tests I order. If you'd rather your insurance cover your bloodwork, your doctor can order it, and I'll interpret those results too.
Yes. Our calls are on Zoom, and we stay in touch on Voxer.
We go through the investment on your free call. It's paid monthly, over the six months.
An hour together. We talk through your cycles, what you've tried and what you're hoping for, and whether Thriving Fertility is the right fit. If it is, I'll walk you through how we'd start.
If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear your story and meet with you. I truly believe we're here to thrive, in our bodies, our cycles and our fertility.
